A Game of Changes

After changes upon changes, The Game remains unchanged.
Sure, they brought the DH to the National League.
Now there’s a time limit between pitches to move things along.
And the music blasting between every inning is like a series of football halftime shows.
But The Game remains our Game.
Same as always
I mean kids no longer listen to their coaches.
Most have their noses and thumbs on screens and the smell of pine tar triggers their allergies.

And don’t even think of yelling like Tom Hanks’s Jimmy Dugan did in A League of Their Own.
But The Game we love is still the same game.
The sound of ball on wooden bat and pitch clapping into glove.
That hasn’t changed - well that's if you can hear it over the loudspeaker music.
The crunch of cleats on infield, the dust cloud from a headfirst dive into the base.
That’s the game we love – and the old school game. Experience the game the Old School way and join us!
